Growing up, our family spent short vacations in Dullstroom. We had relaxed days of fly fishing, hiking and boardgames. When we were lucky enough to catch a trout, I would make it my mission to find the perfect blend of wood chips and tea leaves to smoke the fresh catch.
Without promising anything new,
this town has a way of luring you back every year. The scenery is effortlessly picturesque. My illustrations capture only a small part of this town’s true beauty.
Mereweville

Merweville is one of those ‘blink and you miss it’ towns, I can therefore recommend a slow stroll instead of a drive through. You will come across a church with decorative detail (and history) and you will meet a few small houses with big personalities.

I will remember
the town’s soothing character filling me with childhood nostalgia, our soundless morning runs and the extremely friendly people. Most of all, I will never forget the Merweville sky, abundantly full of stars – trying to outshine the moon.
